This weather is cramping my style. But really. Besides the fact that it is freezing outside and walking to class is a mission, having an early morning class just makes things worse. It is days like these that I wish I could just bring along a blanket to class. Or two. Having to find an outfit to keep me warm in this weather seems impossible and extremely tempting to just throw on sweatpants and UGGs. Early morning classes are filled with students who literally roll out of bed and come in their pajamas. Many even use the weather as an excuse to not have to put any thought into their outfits. However, when I spotted this Fashionista around campus I had to give her props for not succumbing to the pressures of comfort. She proves that you can be warm and fashionable at the same time.
Let’s be honest, the first worry with early morning classes is getting out of bed. The second is the outfit. On a day as cold as today, this Fashionista nails it with her layering. From the boots to the infinity scarf, I love everything about this outfit. I was immediately drawn to her coat, which gives her outfit an instant pop of color and makes her stand out. Who says that you can’t wear color during the winter months? This Fashionista is smart about her layering too. I don’t know about you all, but I find that the classroom temperatures are as unpredictable as the weather in Harrisonburg! You never know what to expect. With layering, you will always be able to adjust to the temperature, whether this is outside or inside. This Fashionista effortlessly manages dress well and be on time for class.
