For some odd reason the weather in Chicago has been fairly warm this winter. By warm I mean in the 40's instead of the 20's. But hey, I’m not complaining! This warmer weather has allowed students to stop hiding under their huge coats and stocky UGG boots. It’s such a refreshing change. So, let's get down to business. Students all over campus have been looking extra fabulous lately. You can blame it on the weather, or blame it on New York Fashion Week coming up, but either way, I'm loving some of the fun looks on campus.
I spotted this Fashionista in class and right away I knew I needed to get her photograph. She has the coolest style that totally complements her funky and super chill attitude. I personally love wearing denim on denim and I think she pulled this look off, while still putting her own spin on it. Her leopard sweater makes her look a little edgier and I think it’s a perfect way to spice up this look.This look is perfect for a busy Monday on campus or for a Saturday full of shopping with friends. I personally think it would look great dressed down with oxfords, or dressed up with chunky accessories and platforms. Seriously though, it's such a transitional look and one that everyone can pull off because this look gives each Fashionista the opportunity to pick what colors, patterns, textures, etc. they want to rock.
To recreate this look I would opt for dark skinny denim jeans or colored jeans and a lighter denim top. Add a fun cardigan to your look to jazz it up. Feeling even edgier? Recreate this look. Feeling uninspired? Pick up an issue of Nylon magazine for some tips on how to funk up your style.
Not to mention, how cool is her hair? It’s pink. Way to take risks, girl.
