This year, at the Met Costume Gala, there was a buzz about bangs. Celebs like Marion Cotillard and Jessica Biel were suddenly sporting all different lengths of fringe, causing the New York Times to proclaim, “The Forehead Is the New Canvas.” This summer, I caught a few episodes of New Girl and became slightly obsessed with Zooey Deschanel’s thick, eyelash-grazing bangs. After toying with the idea of imitating this hairstyle, I eventually settled on longer, side swept style to frame my heart-shaped face. Upon spotting this Fashionista with her long bangs and naturally wavy hair, I was reminded of my previous inclination toward bangs. Pairing cozy pieces such as a big sweater and a maxi skirt is a great way to stay warm during the first few chilly days of October. It is also comfy for long midterm study sessions at the Rock. This Fashionista's bangs are the perfect accessory for a chill ensemble such as this, and I hope that I will muster enough courage to try this look myself soon.
