Style Guru Bio: Eduardo Romo

Uncategorized

My name is Eduardo Romo, I'm a 22 year old student at Tecnológico de Monterrey, at Monterrey, Mexico majoring in Marketing with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. I am beyond excited to be part of the College Fashionista team. Fashion is a great part of my life, I dedicate a lot of time to this industry, I think it's fun, and everybody in some way translates their personality through clothes and accessories, and that's the amazing part of it, you can actually tell a person's lifestyle by the way they dress.

My “passion for fashion” began since I was a little kid. I grew up surrounded by fabric. My parents own fabric stores in Ensenada, Mexico since 1986. That was a key factor for me to fall in love with this world of fashion. I also love business and marketing, that's the reason I decided to study it. Then, I spent a semester abroad in Florence, italy, studying Fashion Merchandising. That's when I chose to follow a career path in the Fashion Industry. I would love to work as a Fashion Buyer or a Fashion Editor for an important magazine.

I have attended Teen Vogue Fashion University two times (2010 and 2011), and it's where I found out about College Fashionista. The experience was truly gratifying. You get to see and listen from the masters at this industry. They tell you their experiences and give you advice to follow your dreams. I would say it has been one of the best experiences ever.

My style keeps changing over the time. I like to keep updated on new trends and take those that I like into my style. I love the Scandinavian style: simple, architectural, fashion forward, and elegant. My favorite stores are H&M, Topman, Uniqlo, Urban Outfitters, Cheap Monday and I'm addicted to ASOS (who isn't?). I will be posting every Tuesday in the section LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS, with great male Fashionistos at Tec de Monterrey. Let me tell you, I'm very proud of my fellow college students, they are on top! Wait for them.
