FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Stephanie Koziol

Fashionista Spotlight

As spring break dreams finally materialize, Fashionistas/os are breaking out from the deep freeze of winter. The transition period from frigid winter days to refreshing spring weather is a tricky fashion maneuver. It’s common to struggle trying to dress for changing weather conditions, and figuring out exactly which colors are acceptable in your daily ensemble. Today’s Fashionista graces campus with a casual, but sophisticated, look that is easy to replicate and appropriate for almost any condition.

Name: Stephanie Koziol

Major: Psychology

Year: Sophomore

College Fashionista: Describe your style in three words.

Stephanie Koziol: Comfortable, athletic, preppy.

CF: What is your favorite brand?

SK: J.Crew.

CF: What trend are you most excited about for spring?

SK: I know it was big last year, but I’m still a big fan of lace.

CF: Who is your fashion icon?

SK: I don’t really have any fashion icons I look up to. I base my style on current trends or how I’m feeling that day.

How to: Replicating this Fashionista’s flattering style is simple. Her flowy cardigan is a must-have for spring and is great for layering against the chill of walking to early morning classes. J.Crew has great options and so does MANGO. Light sweaters and cardigans are perfect for spring because they aren’t too heavy or bulky. Try to go with neutral or dark colors as your base and accessorize with bright colors. This Fashionista’s scarf is the perfect example of a bright accessory that complements her patterned shirt and dark leggings well. Remember not to overdo loud colors or prints just yet; the thaw of winter isn’t quite over. Keep these tips in mind when dressing for early spring and model after today’s chic Fashionista.
