Good News! You Already Own The Best Skincare Remedies

Finals are here and you know what that means: late nights, no sleep, lots of studying, and stressed out skin. So, I thought I would help out this week by showing you a couple of DIY face masks you can make at home while you are cramming in bed on those late nights. Just because your health and sleep are suffering doesn’t mean your skin has to. Treat yourself with these quick DIY face masks that can help you take a break from school!

Hydrating Avocado Face Mask

All you will need is just half an avocado, one teaspoon of plain Greek yogurt, and one teaspoon of honey. Avocado oil is wonderful at hydrating your skin, and it also gives it a fun green color!

Pore Obliterating Face Mask

Put together one egg white, teaspoon of orange juice, and half a teaspoon of turmeric and you are good to go! Egg whites are wonderful for tightening your pores, and if you don’t have turmeric, just slather an egg white by itself on your skin and it will get the job done. Wash it off when it is fully dry.

Acne-Fighting Face Mask

Mix together two tablespoons of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon, and one wedge of fresh lemon!  Honey has numerous skin benefits and works well to get rid of dark spots as well as calm inflamed skin or acne-prone skin. The lemon and cinnamon work well to combat dark spots as well, lightly exfoliate your skin, and fight acne.

Discoloration Face Mask

You will need one tablespoon of Greek yogurt, two-three drops of olive oil, and one tablespoon of honey! Greek yogurt is so amazing at getting rid of discoloration, and the honey and olive oil help hydrate your skin and make you glow.

Whiteheads Be Gone Face Mask

Mash one banana, a teaspoon of baking soda, and a teaspoon of turmeric and you are set. Make sure you don’t leave this one on too long because baking soda can be harsh on sensitive skins. This is also one is great for you if clogged pores are an issue for you because baking soda works wonders to get rid of those pesky whiteheads.

Brightening and Tightening Face Mask

If you are cramming for finals, I am sure you will already have coffee grounds lying around. Good thing all you need are two ingredients for this one: coffee grounds and coconut oil. Just mix those two together and slather it on your face for some brightening action. This also works as a great exfoliator! Thumbs up for dual use products.

Ultra Detoxifying Fighting Mask

This one also is a two ingredient powerhouse: bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. This helps to pull ALL of the toxins out of your skin. It literally feels like a vacuum is pulling everything out your skin! A cult favorite is the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, and it is a favorite because it is super cheap and super effective. If you struggle with acne, I highly recommend trying it out.
