The jump in temperature came as a huge surprise to everyone. I mean, just last week it was raining and gray and this week we’re experiencing heat index warnings. As the temperature rises, focus naturally shifts from being fashionable to staying cool, but for true Fashionistas the two come one in the same.
While doing my usual rounds through the park, I spotted this Fashionista who looked completely cool in every sense of the word. Ripped jean shorts, oversized graphic T-shirt and of course, everyone’s summer staple, flip flops. Accented with an iced coffee and Ray-Bans, this Fashionista was definitely prepared to fight off the heat.
This very relaxed look has been spotted on Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens alike; it’s that chill L.A. vibe that everybody loves but can’t necessarily master. If you’re interested in giving this look a try heed my advice, less is more. Try this vintage, dark gray Pretenders band T-shirt paired with your own DIY shorts. While this Fashionista's flip flops are Havaianas, you can complete your look with a more affordable version from Old Navy. Oh, and don't forget you favorite summertime beverage; you’ll be sure to beat the heat and look amazing doing so.
