For me, I have the constant struggle of picking out a cute, trendy outfit. One that not only fits my personality but fits the theme of the weather as well. When transitioning from spring to summer, it is often hard to dress for those “in between” weather days. Spicing up your outfits can be hard, yet simple and easy at the same time.
On this Wednesday afternoon, I headed to have to lunch with old friends. We needed to see each other before our summer jobs took over our lives. We headed to the downtown city area that is located close to our houses. Weather was predictable, so I decided to dress the part. We ate at a restaurant with outside seating, so what needed to be done was to dress according to the weather and the theme of the restaurant.
I took a simple denim skirt, and simply paired it with a burnt orange off the shoulder top. Off the shoulder tops are making a full 360 turn this summer, and are coming back hot and heavy, like all the other reoccurring trends. Along with this trend, I decided to take a cute, frayed jean jacket and throw it over my shoulders in case it were to get cold. You can never go wrong with denim on denim…right?
I topped my outfit off with a cute pair of sunglasses, my Michael Kors watch and my snakeskin slip-on sneakers. These snakeskin sneakers can add a quick hint of detail to any simple outfit, by putting the necessary attention on them.
Always wear what you feel comfortable in. Wear clothes for yourself first. Pleasing yourself when picking an outfit is always the best option.
