Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Deborah Duenas, currently your University of Texas Pan-American ACCESSORIES REPORT Style Guru for this upcoming spring semester. I am a senior as a Public Relations major with a minor in Honors Study. I was born in Reynosa, Mexico near the border of southern Texas and moved here to the Rio Grande Valley when I was in the third grade. This is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista and I am thrilled to post weekly reports about accessories.
It is an honor for me to enter this fashion field by writing what I love about an outfit. Accessories are the small pieces that can give the magic touch to an outfit and will make you stand out. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always a little diva; I used to put my on my grandmother’s and mother’s jewelry. My mom was always a big fan of jewelry and I inherited that interest. When we went shopping, the first thing we looked at when we entered a store was the accessories.
I consider my style to be very glam because I always try to combine it with a bold accessory, or just try to make a bold statement. I always believed that every women is beautiful, they just have to find their style and use it. For me, fashion gives me the security that I need every day and makes me feel beautiful about my outfit. Life is short for us not to fashion it every day!
