It is pretty typical to incorporate a lot of black into your winter wardrobe. The dreary weather makes us forget about our love of color and tempts us to hide behind a gray scale. But each day, on campus, we have been seeing a glimpse of spring around 2:00 p.m. when the temperature hits a whopping 38 degrees before it drops back down again for the night. That glimpse made this Fashionista ditch the gray and black combination and add a bit of color to her outfit. She created her edgy yet girly look with a red leather jacket from Forever 21, a light brown leather tote also from Forever 21, ankle length jeans and a pair of ever-trendy Converse All-Stars. Her outfit perfectly fits the late winter daily temperature changes, and her leather jacket takes the current trend and kicks it up a notch by adding a splash of color.

CollegeFashionista: Do you have a favorite brand?
Chelsea Law: I really like Juicy Couture, but I don’t have a real concrete favorite.
CF: If you could trade closets with one person who would it be?
CL: Oh, that is a good one! It would probably be Jennifer Aniston. She has such a great style that is so chic.
CF: Where do you find fashion inspiration?
CL: I kind of just go into a store and find things I think are cute. But lately I have really been finding a lot of inspiration from Pinterest; there are so many different ideas on there!
CF: Do you prefer to shop online or in stores?
CL: I really prefer to shop in stores because I need to see what it looks like in person on my body.
How To: To channel your inner rocker and get Chelsea’s look, try this bright leather jacket from Alice + Olivia available at Nordstrom. Pair it with ankle jeans from a store like Gap, and finish it off the look with a classic pair of Chucks. If you don’t want to splurge on the leather jacket, try finishing the outfit with a cute blazer like this one from H&M.
