You all know by now that I LOVE subtle splashes of pattern. It can take your outfit from a five to a ten. A printed element can add that piece of personality that I talk about in all my other posts. Prints can be utilized in any aspect of your wardrobe–from your accessories to your main pieces.
This week, I spotted this Fashionisto coming out of my classroom. I love his simple red button-down paired with light wash gray denim pants and Guate LPE Vans. Temperatures in California, especially Claremont, have been so unpredictable. To keep up with the bi-polar weather, try wearing lighter colors for the heat, but longer sleeves or a jacket for the cold. The light gray denim pants are perfect for walking to class in the morning chill, and coming out of class to the sunshine and 85 degree heat. If you skateboard, Vans are the perfect shoes to get the maximum amount of comfort and grip for your ride down to class. This Fashionisto’s hat is a nice touch to his outfit. Hats are good for all weather conditions. Snapback caps keep the sun out of your eyes and also keep your head warm.
Hint: It is so easy to do tribal print yourself. You can add the subtle print to the back of your jean pocket, the side of your shoe or on the front of your shirt. I have been wanting to add a little print to my old clothing so I looked online to find a tutorial. I found a great one on P.S.- I made this. Making your own detail is the perfect way to be original and have your own customized wardrobe. Don’t forget to incorporate a piece of yourself into every outfit!
