FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Roxy Bildan

Fashionista Spotlight

On rainy spring days, getting up and looking über stylish can be quite a feat — unless you’re this Fashionista! I found this little bit of sunshine on a rainy May day. She makes looking chic on the grayest of days seem effortless.

Name: Roxy Bildan

Major: International Relations and English

Year: Junior

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?

Roxy Bildan: A navy blue and white maxi skirt from BCBG, a white tank top from Heidi*Ho2 and my trench coat is from Urban Outfitters. It was only twenty bucks! My hat is from the Gap, my shoes are Tory Burch and my lipstick is Midnight Rose by Lancome.

CF: How would you describe your personal style?

RB: It depends. I don’t really have one style I stick to; it depends on the day. It can go from '80s grunge to classy '20s. I am also very much inspired by European fashion. I am a big fan of the bohemian look. I like to be comfortable.

CF: Who do you look to for fashion inspiration?

RB: I love Rachel Bilson. She is feminine and classy yet always has a grungy edge. I’m also a big fan of Kate Middelton. Heck, the Queen is great too!

CF: What’s your summer must have item?

RB: Denim! Everything denim. I also love floral. Floral denim is definitely a must have this summer! Also anything maxi, like my skirt.

CF: How many times a day do you change outfits?

RB: Twice!

CF: What fashion item can you not live without?

RB: My skinny, distressed J Brand Jeans. They’re my go-to.

How To: In order to recreate this look, combine a patterned maxi skirt with a cute graphic tank. Add a pea coat and hat for that perfect, rainy day look. Tip: bright lipstick gives the look that extra edge!
