WHAT TO WEAR: Library

What to Wear

When it comes to where you like to study, which do you prefer? The library, your room or maybe the student center? Well, all of these choices are great, but today’s article is strictly about what to wear to the library. The library is a great place to go to clear your thoughts, or just to get out of your dorm room for a while. It houses numerous advantages such as a quiet environment and a somewhat study-like feel. For whatever reason you choose to go to the library remember that someone is always watching, so it must be done in style.

When I think of library attire I think of Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with a new school feel. I absolutely love cardigans and bow ties; they look very studious but also comfy. The cardigan paired with some cool readers is that cool look just enough for your trip to the library. Also, if your library is a little stretch from your dorm, some cool kicks and some stretchy jeans will set this look off perfectly. Now, that special tote or book bag is the exclamation point to your studious ensemble. This part of your outfit is essential because without anything to hold your books and materials in, none of your studying will get done and essentially your trip to the library would be in vain.

This studious first year student has been trying to get well acquainted with the library. She travels there often and says that she loves to go just to get away. She looked so cute on her way that I had to stop and catch a quick glimpse. Say hello to this Hampton student as she journeys on to further her collegiate education via the library. You go girl!

ONE SIMPLE CHANGE: To switch this outfit up there are many alternatives to choose from. You can trade the print jeans for leather coated ones or a fun pleated skirt with some cool tights. You could also add a blazer or maybe a pair of knee- high boots or some short booties if that’s what you prefer. With this you are set. Good luck studying!
