STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fresh Princess of Campus

Style Advice of the Week

This Fashionista would make the Will Smith of the 90’s super proud. From her sick kicks, to her effortless fitted hat, she’s oozing with coolness. Not only does she look like someone you’d automatically want as your hip friend, she’s comfortable. This Fashionista is taking a risk with her edgy look, but is also appropriate for class. A simple graphic tee and jean shorts, she’s dressed for the fall season as the weather is slowly starting to cool off.

Growing up watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I was always into the bright colors of Will Smith’s many tracksuits, and hats. Not to mention the opening song to the show that almost everyone in the U.S. knows all the words too, and all the eye-catching colors that were in it.

One of the things I miss from the '90s is the combination of colors and fabrics, and flat out risks that people took when getting dressed in the morning. No outfit was dull, and no color was forgotten.

For all you Fashionisto’s out there wanting to rep a classic 90’s look, go ahead take the risk of wearing a high top hair style, you’d be surprised at all the compliments you’d get!

You’d be surprised at how many fashion companies still keep the 90’s vibe strong in their collections. The Young and Reckless have a never-ending selection of amazing shirts to choose from with bright colors and graffiti-like writing on them. This tank is the epitome of a '90s throw back must have.

Like this Fashionista’s fresh kicks? Nike never fails when supplying the newest crazy shoe. These Nike Dunk High Tops are absolutely to die for. Personally I’m considering making this must have purchase. The statement these babies make are, “look at me, I’m not afraid to be awesome.”

Lastly, the fitted hat, Lids offers an endless supply to choose from whether it is your favorite baseball, soccer, or basketball team. They even do Greek hats for Fraternities and Sororities. I kept it classic with a bright L.A. Lakers hat, one that Will would most likely approve of. So Fashionista/os go out and let your '90s imagination grow and don’t be afraid to chill out, max, and relax all cool, and maybe shoot some b-ball outside of school…
