Comfy, Cute, and Casual—Mom Jeans

Now that summer has finally arrived, so has our time to relax and enjoy the weather. It is also, more importantly, time for our cutest clothing to come out of our closets. Summer styles are my favorite and I have a ton of looks to share with you throughout this summer. This is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista and I’m super excited to share my style.

My personal style ranges from the grungy skater trends to bohemian Coachella vibes, or even girly with an edgy sophistication. My favorite go-to looks typically include simple clothing, with a ton of accessories, topped off with either Converse or Vans.

This is just one of the many looks that I want to share. Choosing my outfit was tough because there are so many possible options to highlight new trends. Do I pick the T-shirt dress, denim jacket, and sneakers? Do I choose the denim skirt, paired with braids, and bright lipstick? These were the questions running through my mind. Finally, after a clean room became a pile of clothes, I chose the ripped classic mom jeans. The mom-style denim can make any outfit look super stylish. Pairing high-waisted mom jeans with any crop top is the ultimate summer look. It’s perfect for a day out with friends, a shopping trip, or even a party.

A few simple accessories pull this look together. Adding a cute bold ring to any outfit just adds something more, and I absolutely love the one I am wearing with this outfit. Sunglasses and strappy sandals are musts.

A few bracelets and dainty necklaces complete the look. But makeup adds a final touch! My favorite new eye shadow look that I’ve been doing almost every day is this copper shadow all over my eyelids, which really makes my blue eyes pop. A subtle lip color is always important if you’re going for a casual look. I wasn’t sure what to do with my hair, but what I learned is: when in doubt, wear your hair in a messy bun. A messy bun will never let you down.

Now that you’ve read all about my favorite ways to put together a summer look, go get yourself some mom jeans and share pictures of them on social media. Don’t forget to tag @Cfashionista!
