Let’s get one thing straight: I am a cat-eye devotee. Whether they’re on my face or stowed in my cavernous tote, my signature tortoiseshell sunnies are never out of arm’s length. At least, that was the case before I tried out these beauties from Foster Grant.
I’ll admit I was skeptical about this pair at first; I’d never been a big fan of aviator glasses, and this thick black style is more intense than the delicate frames I’m used to. But instead of overwhelming my face, these aviators both flatter and draw attention to it. Even though I styled them with a loud outfit — printed pants and a bold cropped top — the glasses are clearly the highlight of the look. In the past, sunglasses have merely served as an accent piece; a boring necessity required to pull an outfit together. But now, thanks to Foster Grant, my sunnies take center stage and become a vital part of the look. Clearly, I wasn't the only one who loved their charm: my Saturday shopping date literally stole them off my face at lunch, and the next day they magically disappeared from the vanity in my bedroom, only to appear hours later on my sister’s smug face. But that's what’s great about Foster Grant sunglasses — besides being really cute, they’re also universally flattering.
But these sunglasses aren’t just trendy and lust-worthy; they’re also incredibly versatile, a quality necessary to my on-the-go lifestyle. I need to be able to wear a pair of sunglasses all day, no matter how many changes I make to my schedule or outfit. I took a late summer weekend to test-drive the sunnies in a variety of situations: from Saturday afternoon shopping and an intimate dinner party later that evening to early brunch the next morning, these sunglasses were appropriate for every occasion. I can guarantee that they won’t be leaving my face anytime soon.
