As a fashion major at FIT, there is really no typical day. There are always cool events to attend and new places to be. During the school year, I’m always running from class to internship then around the city on errands after that. Even during the summer when I’m back home in Massachusetts, I’m busy between work and hanging out with friends so basically four inch heels are just never an option. When I got these new adidas Hardcourt Hi in Neo Iron Metallic/Blaze Pink/White from Finish Line, I couldn’t have fallen more in love with them. The fact that they’re incredibly comfortable, super stylish and a pair of shoes that I can wear all around the big city without getting blisters makes them an ideal pair of sneaks for this upcoming school year. I’m usually a really simple dresser and it worked perfect for these sneakers. I figured wearing something simple was ideal because I wanted people to focus on my chic new sneakers, not my clothing. So, I paired them with a Forever 21 plain white tank, an Aeropostale denim vest, American Eagle jeggings and my favorite new Forever 21 necklace. I tested these beauties out when I drove up to a small town called Northampton in Massachusetts with a couple of my best friends.
Once I arrived in this chic little town, I really noticed how everyone had their own style and way to wearing certain garments. I couldn’t help but think that it reminded me of my other home, New York City. My friends and I spotted a “Now Open” sign for this new self-serve frozen yogurt joint, and obviously we couldn’t resist!
After we filled up on fro-yo we noticed a HUGE sidewalk sale along the entire main street in this gorgeous town. Signs reading “Buy One, Get One FREE!” filled up the sidewalks. All of us shopping obsessed girls took one glance at each other and knew that we’d be here for a while. We raided through baskets and barrels of clearanced clothing. There really was something for everyone. My favorite sale was at Newbury Comics! They had some of the more unique and interesting hats I’d ever seen, and obviously I had to purchase one!
As the long day of shopping and froyo came to a close, the three of us sat and people-watched (seriously, such an interesting thing to do if you haven’t tried it) all of the cool and unique people as they went on with their day-to-day life. It took me a minute to sit down and notice that my feet weren’t sore at all! Even after walking in these sneakers only for a day I felt like they really formed to my feet. I caught so many people checking on my kicks and what a boost of confidence that was! I couldn’t be happier with these adidas sneaks!
