CollegeFashionista x Beats by Dr. Dre: Songs of the Summer

Exclusive Feature, From the Editor

This post is powered by Beats by Dr. Dre and the New Solo 2.

If there is one thing we love almost as much as fashion, it is music. The two really go hand-in-hand. Both are highly personal, expressive and, perhaps most importantly, fun.

So naturally when fashion and music collide, we here at CollegeFashionista are all about it. The New Solo 2 by Beats by Dr. Dre is our new favorite accessory. The Solo 2 improves on Beats’ most popular headphones from the inside out. With updated and improved acoustics and a new streamlined design, every Fashionista and Fashionisto will want to add this pop of color and major dose of music to their summer wardrobes.

Our marketing interns here at CollegeFashionista are always our barometer of cool. So when they got their hands on the Solo 2, they refused to take them off, even when out on assignment. Our interns hit the streets to photograph some major street style fashion, all while making a statement of their own. And in between capturing some stylish Fashionistas/os, they listened to some of their favorite songs of the summer on their Solo 2s.

We asked our awesome interns to give us a peek into what jams they listen to on their Solo 2s and they kindly compiled a list of their favorite tunes. And so, without further ado, here are CollegeFashionista’s Songs of Summer:

  • “Sleeping With a Friend” // Neon Trees
  • “Girls Chase Boys” // Ingrid Michaelson
  • “Best Friend” // Foster the People
  • “The City” // The 1975
  • “Riptide” // Vance Joy
  • “Always n Forever” // The Orwells
  • “Girl U Want” // Devo
  • “No Scrubs” // TLC
  • “Passing Out Pieces” // Mac Demarco
  • “Wasted Days” // Made Violent
  •  ”West Coast” // Lana Del Rey
