Hidden gem: The Japanese Market is the best sushi spot in town. It’s super local and underground. There is nothing too fancy about this spot, but it is definitely worth checking out.
Eating: The Design District has become the cool spot to hang in Miami, especially Michael’s Genuine. Their oysters and raw bar are to die for. Get there a bit early to walk around the area and check out a couple galleries before you dine.
Shopping: Purdy Avenue is home to the Eberjey store and The Kite Shop, which are both great boutiques to shop around. Also, you haven’t been to Miami until you’ve checked out Lincoln Road. It has everything you could ever want and more.
Day lounge: Miami is known for the fabulous Standard Hotel Pool, which is decked out with ultra blue water and palm trees. Remember to also take advantage of the Soho Beach Club, if you are a member or happen to have a friend that’s one, of course. It’s picturesque with blue and white striped pool loungers and gorgeous white sand.
Sightseeing: Versace Mansion is ultra lush, decadent and is always a cool spot to check out. If you want a break from South Beach, head to Bal Harbour and walk along their beach path. It’s super relaxing.
