Shorts are always a nerve-wracking buy for me — they can’t be too short, but too long is also terrible. There’s this length that is just in-between those two extremes and it makes for the perfect pair of shorts. Luckily for me, that perfect length can be found on the American Eagle Outfitters White Denim Midi Short. When I first saw these shorts, I immediately envisioned several places I could wear them to: class, lunch dates, a study group or (my favorite) an afternoon of shopping. The slightly extended length and small cuff (rather than a raw hem) is appropriate for many different occasions, making them the essential go-to piece for a busy college student.
While winter white has been having its moment this season, I think that nothing says springtime like a pair of crisp white shorts, and I paired these with a bright, graphic sweater. When set against the bright white of the midi shorts, the coral sweater really pops. I layered with a chambray button-down to add texture and variety to the outfit. To add a bit of casual panache, I threw on a pair of wedged sneakers.
As temperatures rise, I will swap out the layers for the American Eagle Outfitters Twisted Chiffon Tank. The colorfully patterned, breezy chiffon and white denim would combine to make the perfect outfit whether you are running errands or oceanfront on spring break. For warmer days, I will finish off my ensemble with a pair of American Eagle Outfitters Clarks Artisan Sandals. With a touch of faux snakeskin and a double ankle strap, they are very on-trend for spring 2013.
The American Eagle Outfitters White Denim Midi Short takes the guesswork and inseam measuring (four inches by the way) out of the equation when buying a pair of shorts. With a comfortable stretch fit and crisp color, these shorts would make the perfect addition to any spring wardrobe.
