It is hard to believe that my time at the University of Iowa has come to an end. It seems like yesterday I was searching through my closet trying to pick out the perfect outfits for sorority recruitment and now my latest fashion task is putting together interview attire. It makes me feel old!
Looking back I feel fortunate to have had so many opportunities during my college experience. From being apart of Kappa Kappa Gamma, dancing on the Iowa Dance team and cheering on my beloved Hawkeyes, traveling around the world to Australia to study for five months, to being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista it has been one amazing ride.
While it seems time to move on to the next chapter of my life, there is a part of me that wishes I could stay in college forever. I will miss the outrageous outfits seen during tailgate season, staying up too late on a Tuesday night, those class friends who I know I will probably never see again, having a “free” gym membership and the locations around campus that hold more meaning then what meets the eye. Mostly though, it will be hard to say goodbye to the people who have made this place become my home over the past four years.
I have loved having the opportunity to strengthen my writing skills and sense of fashion this past semester spotlighting Fashionista/os around campus. It was the perfect ending to my career as a Hawkeye. As of now, I don’t know exactly what my future holds, but wherever I go, or do, it will be in style.
