CLASS OF 2014: Stephanie

Exclusive Feature

My dad is always reminding me how fast time flies and I have to say I never fully grasped what he meant until I walked across the stage at graduation. Accepting that the four years were finally coming to a close, chills took over my body and and my hands could not stop shaking. Though time flew the past four years, I think I was able to make the most of it!

When I say I was able to make the most of the past four years, I am ultimately saying that the past four years have been non-stop. I was able to double major in International Business and Marketing and though I may not be able to have a full conversation with you in Spanish, I was able to make Spanish a minor as well. I was a proud member of my sorority, Chi Omega and VP of Social Outreach for Fashion Board and Marketing Coordinator for Dance Marathon. I completed five internships and two jobs including those with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, CBS Radio, Fashion Group International and, of course, the ever-influential CollegeFashionista. I studied abroad in Istanbul and Barcelona and did some of my own travelling throughout Portugal, Italy, France and Germany. I went through the usual freshman phase of wanting to transfer but soon realized a Northerner taking on the South wasn’t such a bad thing. I made some of the best friends in the world that I couldn’t imagine life without and memories that will never be replaced. So though it was non-stop and tears were shed wondering how the hell I would ever make it four, three, two then another year longer at school, my time at the University of South Carolina were amazing.

As my career as a college student came to a close and with my heart set on New York City, I began to face reality. Getting ready to head home, an offer came my way that I was more than excited to take. Come June, I will be working in Global Licensing in soft lines (apparel and accessories) with Disney Consumer Products in California. To be honest with all you readers, I will say I am nervous (I even cried a few times) to make the big move from East to West Coast, but I am ready and I know my butterflies in my stomach are the good ones.

With all of that being said, I would like to thank CollegeFashionista for giving me such an amazing outlet and opportunity to express my style. Also I would like to thank the many Fashionistas and Fashionistos who shared their styles with me so I could ultimately share them with my followers, you were all amazing. Finally a big thank you goes out to my friends and family for always supporting me in my aspirations and dreams, you all rock!
