It seems like only yesterday that I was moving into my very first dorm room, and making my way through the University of Windsor’s student center feeling so completely lost and alone! I hadn’t the slightest clue as to how I was ever going to fit in here. I remember sitting by myself after my first lecture feeling excited about having started university, but also sad because I wished so badly that I could have my high school friends with me. I knew that moving away from home was something I wanted to do—I wanted the real college experience, and boy did I ever get it! My first year in residence was so incredible, and I enjoyed my time there so much that I ended up working as a resident assistant for three years. I met some great people along the way including my three best friends Trish, Em and Dani! Now, I couldn’t be sadder about it all being done. Four years flew by so quickly, and as bitter sweet as it is, I am also really excited to be moving on to bigger and better things.
Recently, I was accepted to Seneca College in Toronto, where I’ll be doing my post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications. Meaning, of course, that you haven’t heard the last of me yet, folks! I’m looking forward to continuing on with the CollegeFashionista team as a Style Guru this summer and in the fall.
I’ve had such a blast interning with CollegeFashionista and spotlighting all of the fabulous Fashionistas and Fashionistos at UWindsor. Everyone at CollegeFashionista has been so helpful, and I have learned more than I could have ever imagined in just one term so I am thrilled to be returning. Be sure to watch out for all of my summer posts coming soon!
