College was definitely not what I was expecting. Actually, I never really thought of what college would be like before getting thrown into a life of semi-independence filled with early mornings and excessive amounts of tea. Nevertheless, I am extremely grateful for the people, academic courses and extracurricular activities that have forever influenced my professional aspirations and promoted personal growth.
Of the many extracurricular activities, all of my extraordinary fashion-related memories come from my internships with CollegeFashionista. This fashion blogging journey started the summer of my sophomore year. Instantly, I fell in love with CollegeFashionista’s passion for street style on college campuses. It encouraged me to engage in other activities within the fashion industry such as the CollegeFashionista Tumblr summer social media internship and a seasonal sale associate position for Urban Outfitters.
CollegeFashionista, specifically all the wonderful leaders of this rockin’ fashion company, helped me realize that no matter what I may be doing, a role in the fashion industry must be included. However, at the moment, I still don’t know how this will pan out.
Upon graduation, I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania for a Master’s in Bioethics. I genuinely believe my distinct, diverse experiences of academia, community service, sustainable living and fashion encouraged me to discover and strive for my passions in life. Best of luck to all of those who are graduating! To quote the beautiful Elle Woods, “We did it!”
