I have learned so much from both experiences. I also feel that finding your way in college requires you to step outside of your comfort zone to try something new. College really made it possible for me to start making my dreams a reality. I got to meet so many other students who were interested in some of the same things that I was interested in; which meant that I got to network with them on some really cool projects related to fashion and public relations these last few years.
Recently I got a chance to be a part of my school’s very own fashion week. Students in the fashion design department showcased designs and I got a chance to do some PR work for one of them and see that endeavor become a success. College really is the place where you get to figure out who you are and where you want to go. So far I think that I am on the right track to getting to that place — I’m currently working on starting my own magazine and I’m meeting some really cool people along the way. I hope that my dreams become a reality and that I can continue to grow and learn. I think that even as you reach your dreams that you should never stop learning.
With that said, CollegeFashionista has been a great part of my journey into the fashion world. My time spent here has given me much to learn and reflect on. To anyone who wishes to become a Style Guru I say, go ahead and give it a try — apply, you might just get the opportunity of a lifetime!
