This spring semester my love for fashion will be directed to all you lovely men out there. I will be covering different trending styles such as oversized jackets, Polo Ralph Lauren boots, snap-backs, graphic T-shirts and Sperry Top-Siders shoes. Trust me when I say these Fashionistos will be giving Fashionistas a run for their money this season.
I spotted this Fashionisto in front of the Mason Gross School of Arts, as I was walking down Livingston Avenue. He is a graphic design student, so his eye for fashion is easily expressed through his own clothing line, Crew Love Apparel. He and his co-founder, Jose Tavarez, launched the brand in April 2012.
This Fashionisto wears a “Wild Love” crewneck sweater, which is a piece from Crew Love Apparel’s Fall 2012 “The Endangered Print Collection.” He also wears a ”Love Script Strap Hat.” This outfit is perfect for the average college student, sporting an everyday look. I know how guys love dressing comfortable for class, so definitely check out for Crew Love Apparel’s new collection in late March.
During the autumn/winter season, I noticed that a variety of prints, such as animal, tribal, floral and camouflage prints, had been trending nonstop. People mastered the art of mismatching and layering these various prints and patterns together. Just like how this Fashionisto layered his Crew Love Apparel cheetah print crewneck sweater with a vintage Army camouflage jacket. He purchased his jacket for only $5 at a thrift store.
Hint: If Fashionistos want to look deeper into thrifting, they should familiarize themselves with Etsy. This online store, similar to eBay, consists of thrifted items.
