There’s no better time than summer to play up on your girly side with flowery printed tops, skirts, and dresses. Florals are a fantastic way to pull off a whimsical look and are the perfect look for hot summer days and nights. This week’s Fashionista was found wearing an eclectic vintage romper that she found at a thrift store. The fun floral print is accentuated by cute white buttons that decorate the front of the romper and a synching tie in the back that makes the ensemble extremely figure-flattering. I was immediately attracted to this week’s Fashionista because her outfit embodies old school 90’s fashion and is reminiscent of a romper I wore when I was about 4 years old. Anyone who can take an outfit I wore as a toddler and turn it into a fashion statement is totally Fashionista worthy.
Rompers are all the rage right now, and I absolutely love this one because it is so different from most of the other rompers I’ve seen around because of its vintage flair. Plus, what’s not to love about taking an outfit that reminds you of your childhood and updating it with accessories to give the look a chic and mature makeover?
This Fashionista perfectly accents her look with gold bangles, pearl and gold stud earrings, a cross-body purse, and adorable studded flat sandals. This is a look perfect for an afternoon in the park for a backyard barbecue and can be easily duplicated by taking a trip to your local thrift store and sifting through racks until you find the perfect vintage treasure like this Fashionista’s romper.
Hint: Check out re-vamped vintage shops online like ModCloth to find reasonably priced clothing if you aren’t in the mood to sort through clothes at consignment shops.
