Black is always a trusty safety net when it comes to putting together an outfit, but a great way to step it up a notch this fall is to throw in an edgy, bold print. Sticking to the monochromatic theme, I spotted this Fashionista on campus rocking an edgy skull printed top. I like how she keeps the rest of her outfit simple, making the skulls really stand out.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Sabina Sohail: I can't really describe my style because it's constantly changing. Every season, I try to find unique pieces to incorporate in my looks — skulls are my current obsession!
CF: What are three of your wardrobe staples?
SS: My multi-skull and stud scarf, this city bag I bought from Zara and ALL my rings!
CF: Who are your celebrity style icons?
SS: Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Miranda Kerr and Miley Cyrus to name a few.
CF: If money weren’t an issue, what one item would you love to splurge on?
SS: A Chanel purse.
CF: What is your favourite part about fall fashion?
SS: I would have to say outerwear. There are just so many options this season with combat jackets, fall coats and overgrown cardigans/sweaters. It makes the season so much more interesting and colourful — even though most of what I own is black!
How To: For this look, all you need is a pair of black skinny jeans and a sweater with a great skull pattern. You could also try incorporating the skull trend through jewelry or accessories, rather than a fully printed top. Finish up with a pair of black lace-up boots and a bag with a gold chain. Quick and simple!
