Spring is just around the corner and Fashionista/os anxiously count down the days until they can ditch their parkas. It is time to get ready to bring out prints and bright colours that are dying to make it out of Fashionista/o’s closets. I spotted this Fashionista, getting an early start, who rocked a pair of floral print trousers paired with bold red boots. I loved how she mixed different patterns and colours that nicely complemented each other.

Melissa Vasiliev: Classic with an urban twist.
CF: What are some of your wardrobe staples?
MV: A pair of leather leggings, a fur vest and rose-gold accessories.
CF: Where do you look for fashion inspiration?
MV: I’d have to say online shopping. It’s hard not to browse in my free time, since it’s so accessible now. My favourite websites always inspire my style: tobi, wanelo, and shopruche. I also love Instagram.
CF: Whose closet would you love to raid and why?
MV: Definitely Jennifer Lawrence. Her fashion sense is confident and elegant–everything from stunning floor-length dresses on the red carpet to casual and effortless outfits for every day.
CF: Where do you like to shop?
MV: My favourite stores are Topshop, Brandy Melville, Urban Outfitters and H&M.
CF: If money weren’t an issue, what one item would you love to splurge on?
MV: A simple black Mackage leather jacket.
How To: Start off with a basic black top and a pair of floral print trousers. Then, add a black coat and a bright red pair of ankle boots. Find a purse, with a great print, a long blue scarf and a chic black hat. Finish off with a few edgy spiked bracelets and a classy watch.
