WHAT TO WEAR: Early Class

What to Wear

As college students, early morning classes can often be the bane of our existence. With temperatures in the teens and barely a few hours of sleep, the least of our concerns is looking cute. Despite the temptation to thrown on sweats or merely roll out of the bed and go, take a minute to remind yourself that you are, indeed, worthy of a decent outfit. Sweats should be confined to your room, the gym and, if absolutely necessary, the dining hall.

To put an end to your early morning class woes, take a cue from this Fashionista’s relaxed yet glam look. Her pairing of an oversized blue sweater with black tights and brown knee-high boots creates the perfect balance of Midwest comfort and city girl pep. The heart details on the elbows of the sweater immediately add a sense of playfulness to her outfit. With oversized sweaters all the rage, this special detailing makes this piece stand out from the crowd. In addition to a fabulous sweater choice, this Fashionista also styled it amazingly. Though the rules of tights are often ignored on college campuses, this lovely lady did it right by making sure the sweater hit near mid-thigh. It is crucial to remember that tights are not pants; they should only be worn with tops that cover the derriere.

Another lesson to take away from this Fashionista is that a great pair of boots can do wonders for an already amazing ensemble. While UGGs get the job done in regards to warmth, it is great to switch them out every now and then for a pair of leather or suede boots. The rustic feel of her boots complement the carefree feel of this look as well as adds dimension. They are also understated enough that they can be styled in a plethora of ways!

One Simple Change: To play up the winter feel of this Fashionista’s outfit, top it off with a scarf, either in a fun texture or print!
