CollegeFashionista: What inspires you and your personal style?
Tara Conrad: Anything and everything inspires me; from my mood in the morning, to different street styles and also New York and Paris fashion week.
CF: What is your favorite trend of spring/summer 2012?
TC: I would have to say the whole bra-less and side boob trend going on. However, I must say I really do love the south Asian inspired trend as well. I have such an obsession for turban's and bold prints worn head to toe!
CF: What are three wardrobe staples that you can't live without?
TC: I'd have to say my black Diesel booties! I think you can never go wrong with an edgy pair of boots. I can never hold on to a pair of jeans, jacket, dress or shirt. Im always changing my wardrobe so I have no staple pieces in my closet. However, my Diesel boots are the only item that will stay in my closet forever! They go well with everything and are versatile between seasons.
How To: It is no secret that denim can be worn with virtually everything but there is a certain way to achieve this Fashionista's look. The most important element is your choice of denim. Opt for distressed denim like this Fashionista for a more laid-back vibe, or a dark washed pair for a more classic look.
