I spotted this feminine Fashionista on her way to her health and fitness classes and knew that I had to feature on the CollegeFashionista website. I have to admit it was the brightness of her sheer coral asymmetrical dress that first caught my eye, but her aura of grace and confidence is what ultimately drew me to her. In my opinion, a true Fashionista/Fashionisto always emits a subtle air of self-confidence, whether they are dressed up or dressed down and this Fashionista perfectly combined both. She keeps her look simple and sweet by wearing her coral dress with monochromatic accessories and she keeps her outfit casual by wearing a neutral colored hobo bag and a cute pair flat sandals. I also couldn’t help but notice those sparkling vintage looking earrings that she proudly wore, and I soon learned that she had purchased them in Nigeria, while also realizing that she recently moved from Nigeria.
This Fashionista was completely unaware of her stylish and runway related appearance. I noticed she was sporting a low bun which is said to be a huge hair trend coming up for fall 2012/2013; seen in runway shows such as Diane Von Furstenburg and Alberta Ferretti.

How To: This Fashionista is sporting a very trendy dress that can be purchased in many different stores such as Forever 21, Urban Behavior, H&M and Urban Planet. The asymmetrical dress has to be one of the most popular fashion items as of late. To recreate this Fashionista’s runway inspired hairdo you will need some hairspray to help keep your hair in place, possibly a curling iron to assist in the process of creating an attractive bun, and of course, a few bobby-pins to secure your hair in place.
