Check Out These Parisian Street Style Looks That Weren't Actually Taken In Paris

March 7th, 2017 at 2:00am

Just like last week when I showed you some of my favorite street-style looks from London Fashion Week, I’ve kept track of some of my favorite details from Paris’s fashion week. They always say they save the best for last, and Paris’ fashion never disappoints on the streets or in the shows.

The problem? Actually attending Paris Fashion Week isn’t super realistic for most college students whom reside stateside (or any college student, tbh). But just because you aren’t watching the Chanel show IRL, doesn’t mean you can’t dress the part on your very own campus. Embracing the street style trends that I have noticed popping up during PFW, check out these looks that embrace the fashion of the week long event, no passport required.

Hues of Blue. I kept up with the Dior fashion show this week and fell in love with the color blue all over again. This Fashionista wears her blue in a cute off the shoulder top paired with polka-dot pants and gold booties to look like she’s just stepping out from a high-profile show.

Bell Bottom Flare. Paris style has always included tight T-shirts tucked into jeans, and I saw a lot of that style incorporated into this year’s PFW style. This Fashionista complemented her T-shirt with flare jeans and red details.

Layered Gingham. One of my favorite looks I saw this season was the assortment of ginghams and plaids. Whether it was on the streets or in the shows, the tiniest checkers were incorporated into all kinds of outfits. This look is even more Parisian with the cute details such as tiny black purse and classic shoes. With the romper layered on top, this look is perfect for a cappuccino run.

Embroidered Jackets. Fashion Weeks are all about making statements in clothing. This year I’ve seen so many powerful messages presented via the backs of social media influencer’s denim jackets. This Fashionista transcends that theme into her wardrobe with this cool saying on her coat.

Tie Details. The Balenciaga show in Paris proved that bows, neck-ties, and the smallest details are here to stick around another season. This Fashionista works a bow subtly with a cute sweater to stand out on the streets.

Ruffles. There was an overwhelming theme of ruffles this past week in Paris, including in shows like Vanessa Seward and Saint Laurent. This look is taken to the next level when the transparent ruffle top is paired with a cute bra and coordinating black pants.
