I am currently a student at Syracuse University studying Writing and Psychology and I have officially started my first experience with CollegeFashionista as a LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS columnist. I would say writing is my forte, but fashion comes in as a close second, next to music and food. I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and I am more than excited to dive into this internship in my hometown. The vibrancy of the people’s personalities on the west coast is followed by their unique and fashion forward styles. Thus, living in LA I find inspiration all around me. Whether it’s in my tastes in music, the food I want to eat, or the clothes I lust (currently a mullet skirt/dress).
My own sense of style changes on a day-to-day basis. I’ve been known to wear my heart on my sleeves quite literally, as I wear a leather jacket and motorcycle boots when I’m angry at the world and a maxi dress when the sun is as bright as my spirits. I have been engrossed in the fashion world since middle school, finding my fashion weaknesses in bold patterns, bright colors, and unique shoes. To be more specific, my style is found in all the details as you can hopefully see in my outfit shown.
I’m a passionate person in everything I do. It empowers me, and I thrive on this quality about me. I find that everything someone says, everything someone stands for; it can all be established on the clothes we wear in the daily. That’s why I find myself spending hours working on costumes for concerts, picking the right dress for formal ocassions, and picking the perfect outfit for my first Style Guru Bio post.
So here I am, take it or leave it and don’t forget to tune in every week for my column. It’s going to be a stellar and fashionable summer in LA this year!
