Ahh…the ponytail. Possibly the best hairstyle of all time. Not only is it completely convenient and able to be adopted by all hair types, from straight to curly, wavy or braided; as long as your hair is long enough to tie up — you can rock a perfect ponytail! The classic class of the pony is why it never gos out of fashion and always makes appearances on the runways of Europe and the red-carpets of Hollywood. Another reason why ponytails rule? They are suitable for all occassions. Whether you are lazing around the house and can't be bothered making too much effort with your hair, breaking a sweat at the gym where you just need your hair to be out of the way.Is perfect for school days because it is quick and simple and neat and tidy, and it can make all the difference to an outfit when you are going out. Those little elastic bands (that tend to get lost so easily) are like invincible transformers!
Ponytails have been seen countless times by high-end fashion designers on the runway and the hottest celebrities on the red carpet. The are obviously an all-round winner as this week's Fashionista demonstrates as she channels a very Jenifer Lopez inspired look with her side pony and cute beret. You only have to do a google search of 'red carpet ponytails' to know that Kim Kardashian, Ashley Tisdale and Beyonce are also regular supporters of the ponytail for high-end events, and legendary designers including the names of Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Herve Leger have all dressed their models with ponies to execute sleek, chic style and sophisticated elegance.
So why not sport a ponytail this week? You could try a dead straight, high pony, a wavy bed-head pony, or add a bit of texture, by toussling your tresses with some mousse.
