Every Fashionista knows that cherry red lipstick is always a winner. A red pout screams sexy and confident from a mile a way, and this week's Fashionista is right on trend with her siren-red smackers!
Red lipstick has been a beauty staple throughout history, with the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Maralyn Monroe being well-known wearers of bright-red lippy. Since then, red lips have graced the catwalks of major fashion shows from designers including Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen and Tadashi Soji, who all dressed their models with red lips this year during New York Fashion Week, proving the trend is everlasting. While the look is bold and bright, it is ultra uplifting and confidence-boosting. Red lips are gorgeous paired with geisha-inspired or catwinged eyeliner (best achieved with a liquid liner such as Rimmel's Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner in Black).
When applying lipstick, it is important to first use a moisturising lip balm such as Nivea Pure and Natural Lip Balm, which will help your lipstick to stay on longer.
