Calling all Fashionista/os! It time to take a deep breath and take the plunge. . .dip your toes into the wonderful world of pattern. This season, spring patterns and bold colors are the name of the game.
The sun was blazing, a stark contrast from weeks past, when I spotted this Fashionista, who seemed to be mimicking the sun.
Now Fashionisto/as, we have to talk about pattern. We saw it on the runway for spring, and we now see it transpiring to the streets. The best way to pair two different patterns in an outfit is to pair like colors in a shirt or a bottom. Now if you do two completely different patterns like this Fashionista, it’s best to pick one pattern for your bottom half and then the other on your shoes. That way you’re keeping the look modern and chic along with funky shoes!
After talking to this Fashionista, I was sold on her style — flirty, chic and fresh. She told me she loves having a vintage feel in all her outfits, whether it’s in her jewelry, silhouette or her clothing. She also confessed her love for pattern and for having a stellar pair of killer shoes.
This Fashionista is rocking it out with a black cap sleeve shirt. The base of the shirt is cotton with chiffon sleeves, which adds a little visual intrigue. Then we have a fabulous flouncy skirt in cream with black polka-dots and red accents. Now to pair her contrasting patterns she matched the skirt with little leopard booties to add a little edge to her feminine facade. Lastly it’s all about the accessories — this Fashionista is wearing a multi-layer pearl necklace with a chunky vintage cross, a large face watch and a power pink studded cross body.
