The backpack. As college students we all need them at one point or another. Whether you take a trusty tote bag to class such as the classic and preppy Longchamp (I myself have one) or that typical everyday pack that maybe looks a little more like a suitcase; we all have to have them.
During the week our lives are spent going from class to class and walking all over campus to the libraries and dining halls. We need a dependable (and hopefully stylish) bag to carry our things around in. This week’s Fashionista has a different take on this school-time accessory. Instead of the usual bags we tend to see around campus, this Fashionista chose to be a little different. While this particular backpack from Forever 21 is smaller and may not be ideal for everyday use, it makes up for it in style. Going along with the southwestern print trends we have seen this past season, this bag makes a statement with its pattern and colors while remaining functional for school. The bag also goes well with this Fashionista’s fringe suede boots (another great accessory!).
Don’t be afraid of a little color and pattern when it comes to your backpack. Check out this tribal-inspired backpack from Urban Outfitters (appropriately named “Around the World”) or this floral-themed bag by Billabong. Trying out new styles is always a good way to keep your closet from getting too bland. Online and in stores aren’t the only places to look for bags for class. My favorite bag to use is one a friend gave me from a market in Vietnam. Think outside the box! Being a Fashionista means trying out new things, so go liven up your school week with a new bag.
