My favorite accessory by far is the bracelet. If you ever see me walking around campus you can tell that almost immediately. I’m never without my watch, my Tiffany & Co. bracelet as well as a few eclectic pieces I have picked up over the years. That is why when I say this Fashionista on my way to class the other morning I had to stop her. Her gold cuffs from ASOS, a popular website for Fashionistas, stuck out to me from the rest of her outfit.
I have never owned a pair of cuff bracelets personally but they seem to be making there way through the runway collections, appearing in lines in 2011. Cuffs are minimalist in their appearance and design yet help to boost an outfit. They work well with more neutral-toned out fits like this Fashionistas outfit of a sheer blouse, jeans and brown lace-up wedge booties (another great trend). It pulls her ensemble together without putting all the focus on her accessories. I ‘d like to think of cuff bracelets as the “little black dress” of bracelets. Although wearing brightly colored statement jewelry can be great, sometimes less is more when it comes to how you accessorize your outfit.
The best thing about these bracelets is you don’t have to spend a ton of money to have this look. This gold roped-cuff by Hive & Honey is the right price but also gives you a different spin on this trend with the detailing. Another choice is this cuff from Nordstrom. The texture is great for a distinctive look and gives a more “earthy” feels as their description states. If you love this trend and want to spend some serious money then you can’t go wrong with this logo cuff by Tory Burch, which comes in both silver and gold. I have to say this might be on my wish list now!
