Today’s Fashionistas are actually sisters! The two girls are best friends and spend a lot of time together and their sense of fashion clearly displays that. The Fashionistas share many of the same qualities, but have certain distinctions from each other both in looks and style.
Over Christmas break, the sisters traveled to India with the rest of their family. In addition to a new appreciation for Indian culture, the girls returned to Georgetown with an updated style. The Fashionistas are incorporating this style by wearing scarves with their favorite outfits.
The scarves, purchased during their trip, add a burst of color to and layer perfectly over their Urban Outfitters boyfriend blazers. As these Fashionistas demonstrate, a scarf is a unique way to look fashionable and still stay warm in the often chilly days of late winter. Not making a trip to India anytime soon? Similar scarves can be purchased at American stores, like this Anthropologie Starry Binkath Scarf.
Because the scarves are quite bold, the Fashionistas wear simple and timeless outfits. Leather boots are popular choices for Georgetown students as they are cold weather approved and hilltop-climbs tested. The darker boots are by Frye. The lighter boots are from Madewell, which just opened up a location in Georgetown.
The core of the Fashionistas’ outfits are similar, but with a few variances the looks are individual. One Fashionista pairs skinny jeans with a simple tanktop, while the other opts for leggings and an LAmade eyelet tunic.
This particular look will transfer well from dreary winter days turn into brighter, slightly warmer, spring days.
