Amen to high-wasted pants! I don’t think enough girls wear high-wasted pants. They make your booty look great and accentuate a tiny waste. I was happy to find this Fashionista sporting a pair of American Apparel pants that I have been eyeing for over a year now but have still yet to purchase. I am happy to see the riding pants back in style because I used to horse-back ride when I was younger and always wanted to wear my johdper pants out in public. This Fashionista makes this traditional equestrian pant look cool and contemporary by pairing them with a leather jacket and wonderful blunt bangs. Her bright pink lipstick is key to keeping her look feminine.
Name: Krizia Hipol
Major: English Literature and Book & Media Studies
CF: What is your typical school day outfit?
Krizia Hipol: My boots from Aldo, my American Apparel pants, and something loose on top – like oversized. I don’t know why I’m wearing a more fitted top right now but usually it’s more oversized, with a cardigan and what not.
CF: What is your number one item on your wish-list right now?
KH: Probably UNIF Hellraiser flats. They’re studded flats; I really want them.
CF: What is something that you never wear?
KH: Harem pants.
How To: American Apparel has several opitions for high wasted pants. You can opt for a slim fit pair like this Fashionsta, or try a pleated trouser pair. Pair the pants with a ankle boot similar to a riding boot. A pair of Blundstones would look great. On top, you can go with a simple tee tucked in, or you can try an oversized button-down shirt or sweater. Complete the look with the essential leather jacket.
