This is my second season as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and you know what they say: It is always good to be back! I am Camila, a fashion marketing and communication major from Bogota, Colombia. I like to think of myself as an adventurer stuck in a chaotic world, where the only escape is fashion. Yes, that’s how I see it, as the perfect window to creativity and freedom, where self-expression is everything. I take fashion very seriously, and that’s how I find the fun in it, that’s how I get to incorporate it into my lifestyle and translate it into different aspects of my daily life. I take inspiration from everything and everyone around me, which leads me to build a personal sense of style that will reflect on the way I look. If I had anything to say about my style, I’d say I am not afraid to take risks and push the boundaries a little bit, not too much, but just enough to generate something different that works for me.
In the previous semester with CollegeFashionista I learned that being fashionable goes far beyond just wearing nice clothes; a true Fashionista always finds the way to stand out in style, personal style, which is everything! I honestly believe every individual takes a different approach to the way they look and that’s what makes it interesting and fun to walk around scouting the latest trends on people who wear clothes like only they can and. This season I hope to spot more interesting style choices and write great posts inspired by them.
