It’s not everyday when you see a boy in ombré pants. So when I came across this guy, I had to document it.

CollegeFashionista: Tell me about your personal style.
Alex Lucas: I love doing a bunch of basics that you can mix and match with different pops, like colors or stand out pieces. Today it’s obviously my pants.
CF: I love your pants! Tell me more about them.
AL: I actually bought red pants from Target and then I dyed them myself with black dye from a fabric store. You stick the top half in black dye and every hour you pour more water so the water level rises.
CF: Do you have a favorite designer?
AL: My favorite fashion house is definitely Dior. I just love the silhouettes, they’re amazing. Alexander McQueen is probably one of my top designers too.
CF: Do you have a favorite celebrity that you look up to fashion-wise?
AL: I love looking at Ryan Gosling. I think his sense of style is pretty great.
