Fashionistas/os, it is official. The fall weather is here and it is here in full swing. However, this does not mean you have to pack away and say sayonara to all your summer favorites. There are a handful of ways you can still utilizes your summer essentials and intertwine them with your classic fall and winter accessories.
My absolute favorite piece this summer was the maxi skirt and I had a feeling that it was this Fashionista’s favorite as well. I spotted this Fashionista Ella, short for Yael, walking through campus during the late afternoon. It was officially fall on campus. The leaves were falling, there was a cool breeze, and the sun was low in the sky. This Fashionista incorporated her favorite summer essential, the vintage floral maxi, with the classic accessory of the fall, the suede boot.
To top of her fall look she paired her floral maxi skirt that she found in her mother’s closet (the best and budget-friendly place to shop) with a vintage men’s denim shirt from J.Crew. As far as her accessories, she threw on some chocolate brown suede boots from Forever21 and her father’s vintage silver bracelet to conclude her look.
To achieve this look, whip out your favorite summer maxi dress or skirt like this one from Urban Outfitters and pair it with one of these denim button down shirts from Target.Throw on a pair of brown boots and delicate accessories and you are good to go for an afternoon shopping trip or even a day full of classes.
Remember, you do not have to pack away all the great essentials you bought from summer just yet. Just pair them with fall classics such as boots, a cozy sweater, or scarf and you will be ready for the chilly fall weather with a brand new look that's inexpensive!
