Pack your sunnies and that sexy bathing suit, because we heading to Miami! According to U.S. News Travel, last year Miami was ranked No.1 for best spring break destinations. If that’s not enough to make you consider this oceanic city, LMFAO and Will Smith can vouch for Miami too. Nothing makes a party playlist like Smith’s, Welcome to Miami. To make this the best spring break ever, I’ve found the best places to eat, party and shop. Oh, and of course what to wear. We have teamed up with Aerie to showcase the best looks for Miami.
Fashion
This Spring Break, I am focusing on mixing bright patterns with festive spring colors. Here I am wearing my Aerie Brooke Bikini Top and bottoms with my Aerie scoop hi-lo T. This light, loose-fitting tank compliments the patterned bottoms and provides just enough coverage to grab a drink at the bar, or shade your shoulders from the sun.
Shopping
Lincoln Road located in Miami Beach offers a variety of familiar retailers. What isn’t so familiar are your fellow pedestrians. Strolling the sidewalks will give you a taste of Miami. Men and women skimpily dressed wiz by on roller blades, and entertainers painted bronze are there to take photos with. If you’d rather sit, grab a coffee at an outdoor restaurant or cafe. Trust me you won’t be bored.
Entertainment
Miami is the life of the party. Day or Night. While the sun is still high, why not hit the beach. There is South Beach if you are looking for a scene. For a more natural experience, head to Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. On any given night, one can dance the night away at a variety of clubs and bars. If you want to feel like a celebrity for a night, head over to club Liv. Other trendy clubs include, Mint, Cameo, and Ink. If you are looking for an alternative scene check out downtown Brickell. My personal favorite is a bar called Blackbird Ordinary. Tasty drinks dressed with fresh fruit and solid music from the 90’s and today make this place friendly and inviting. If you aren’t spending your day at the beach, head to Midtown to view impressive street art and warehouse galleries.
Food
Miami offers a variety of tasty plates from a blend of different cultures. For a mean burger, head on over to Lokal in Coconut Grove. This local joint specializes in fresh. Fresh meat, fresh veggies mmmm. I’m hungry just thinking about it. Their 50/50 burger is quite the taste bud teaser. This burger includes a patty packed with 50% bacon and 50% ground beef, topped with fresh onions lettuce and tomato. If you are looking for something Cuban try Havana Harry’s. Meals are priced low, yet the dishes pack a flavorful punch.
With a group of friends, its good to have a assortment of venues and activities to make your trip to Miami worthwhile. For the water lover, the art lover, the fashionista, the foodie; whatever your interests maybe, everyone can make the most of their time here!
