This week’s Fashionista caught my attention because of her willingness to stand out. In the midst of midterm week, she went above and beyond the 90 percent of students that drag along in sweatpants all day and instead pulled off this adorable look. In this outfit, she has expertly tied together the camouflage top with boyfriend jeans and really cool patent leather sneakers. I knew she was a real Fashionista when I noticed the leather detailing on the sleeves of her top. This is great way to incorporate the leather trend without having to go out and buy expensive leather jeans. The look as a whole is adorable but also comfortable to walk around in and go to class.

Amanda Meyer: I am wearing my favorite J Brand boyfriend jeans, a vintage camouflage shirt and the new TOUS jewelry I got for Valentines day – I haven’t taken it off since!
CF: Who inspires you when you get dressed in the morning? What do you like about this person?
AM: Olivia Palermo, hands down. She can make an effortless outfit still look perfect.
CF: What fashion advice would you give other college girls that want to dress like you?
AM: Comfort is important, you don’t want to be fidgeting while sitting in class. Try cut-offs and a graphic tee or jeans and a cute sweater.
CF: How do you keep up with current trends?
AM: Social media has made it very easy to keep up with current trends. I often follow bloggers, fashion websites, magazines, etc.
CF: What is your go-to look?
AM: My go-to look is jeans and a white T-shirt. I can count on two hands the amount of white T-shirts I own. Add aviators and some arm candy and that’s it.
