FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Kathryn Cook

Fashionista Spotlight

Just when we got out all our oversized winter sweaters and boots, mother nature throws us a curve ball. With the sun beating down leaving us in 60+ degree weather, what’s a girl to do? This Fashionista perfected the fickle weather outfit. By adding an airy scarf, boat shoes and a fun colored skinny jean, this Fashionista has me dreaming about leaving for the Hamptons.

Name: Kathryn Cook

Year: Senior

Major: Biology

College Fashionista: What inspired your outfit today?

Kathryn Cook: Well, after it being cold the past couple weeks, it warmed up! I wanted to change up my heavy fall wardrobe a little by adding some color. I work in a jewelry store so I still had to keep it business casual.

CF: What is your most versatile item in your closet?

KC: My white chiffon shirt! It literally goes with everything and I’ve worn it year round. I like that you can dress it up or down and layer it.

CF: What trend are you dying to try but haven’t yet?

KC: I know high-low skirts were popular this summer and regret not buying one! I'm hoping that they are still around in the spring!!

CF: Which celebrity’s wardrobe would you love to snag and why?

KC: Easy! Jennifer Anniston. She is always dressed super classy and her style is easy to re-create as well as super chic.

CF: What are your top three go-to stores for your fall wardrobe?

KC: J.Crew, Francesca's Collections and White House Black Market.

How To: Colored skinnies aren’t going away yet! Snag a fun colored pair like these from Old Navy. To keep the look from looking to summery, add a neutral sweater or cardigan like this over your light shirt. Pair this with a cute pair of flats (either solid or designed) like these for a finishing touch.
