Blooming with Positivity—3 Ways to Make This the Best Summer Yet

Over the past few years, I have come to realize that one of the hardest things for me to do is think positively. I am always worried about the next due date, project, meeting, or task that is quickly approaching and if I will have enough time to finish whatever I am working on. There is nothing worse than letting those fears take over your happiness, or even worse, your life. Over time I have been able to overcome these worries and these methods have truly helped me come a long way. When you can control these feelings, you can control your mindset and focus on what makes you happy!

Here are three of my favorite ways to feel positive and control my anxieties.

1—Bringing myself back to my center. One of the most important ways I have found that almost always makes me feel better is to really commit myself to things that I am interested in. I love animals, flowers, and overall just being in nature. Now that the weather is pleasant, going outside and spending time taking pictures of flowers or scenery really calms me down and makes me feel a little more down to earth. Whatever makes you feel the calmest, I recommend doing it! Even if you just take 15 minutes a day to recollect yourself, you will notice a positive difference in your way of thinking.

2—Learning (or doing) something new. For me, I have come to notice that I feel the most inspired and motivated when I take the time to study and learn about things that intrigue me. Even if it is simply reading a self-care novel, reading about something that will help me improve myself causes me to internalize and learn something new. This will not only give you more knowledge but give you a better understanding of whatever topic it is that you enjoy learning about.

3—Keeping myself busy and organized. As I mentioned before, nothing is worse for me than feeling overwhelmed. However, I am always busy because I like to involve myself in so many things! It can be hard to find a balance, but I have found that using a planner and writing things down as soon as I plan them can help. A desk calendar could also be a good idea, depending on the space that is available. Seeing everything written out can allow for the proper time to be taken so that everything that needs to be done can be completed.

I can guarantee that practicing these simple tips can help you reach a more positive lifestyle. They will also definitely encourage you to feel confident so that this summer, as well as the rest of your future, can be the greatest that it possibly can!
