FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Raziel Fuertez

Fashionista Spotlight

This semester, I have the misfortune of an 8:00 a.m. class. While on the walk, it's honestly tragic to see how some extremely stylish students present themselves at what seems like the crack of dawn for college students. In the sea of almost unacceptable pajamas, this bubbly Fashionista caught my eye, as well as her killer accessories and adorable cheeky smile. She epitomizes my motto, “A cute shirt is just as easy to throw on as a T-shirt,” and is proving that by putting herself together so well for an early chemisty lab. Even though summer is rapidly disappearing, you don't have to lose your sense of color, fashionable style and attitude.

Name: Raziel Fuertez

Year: Freshman

Major: Biological Sciences

College Fashionista: Who is your favorite designer?

Raziel Fuertez: I love my Louis Vuitton bags but I also love Hermes, Chanel and Oscar de la Renta. Call me cliché but I also love Forever 21 for fast fashion looks.

CF: Who are your celebrity style icons?

RF: I love Blake Lively and of course the Kardashian sisters.

CF: What's your favorite item in your closet?

RF: My denim jacket. It's such a staple and I can throw it over anything. It's pretty warm but we'll see how if it can withstand a Wisconsin fall.

How To: To recreate this look, find a pair of dark denim skinny jeans that look perfect on you. My personal favorite brand is 7 For All Mankind but different jeans fit everyone differently, so build up some courage and energy, and go jean shopping! Next, find bright pops of color that are easy to throw over a cami. Details such as cutouts, lace and embroidery will help to make your look is unique. A great pair of flats is also essential for class, work and going out. Find a high quality pair — you'll be glad you did. To finish off your look, why not throw on a structured statement necklace? The options are endless; from vintage to shiny and new, it'll be a hit and you'll definitely turn heads, and hopefully inspire some people to wake up 15 minutes earlier.
