I definitely love a biker look for this time of year, but commonly think that many girls take it far too literally. Black leather everything, paired with studded this and skull that; I don’t see much individuality. However, when I spotted this biker-chic Fashionista, femininely sprinkled with touches of purple, I couldn’t help but to think that this was a girl who marched to the beat of her own drum. Her killer black combat boots and androgynous denim jacket, a fall must-have, were paired uniquely with an asymmetrical knit sweater and a few pops of purple.

CollegeFashionista: What's your favorite way to style combat boots?
Claire Beyer: I love to wear my combat boots with either leggings or super skinny cigarette jeans. I wear them with any top, but usually sweaters and cardigans or jackets.
CF: Where's your favorite place to shop for every day wear?
CB: I get most of my things at Bloomingdales, but Urban Outfitters is a very close second.
CF: I love your accessories, what are your everyday jewelry staples?
CB: My jewelry staples include my David Yurman cuffs with a matching ring, and I always have on some kind of other small bracelet, like this cross, to mix with my two cuffs. On the weekends, I like to switch it up and wear big bangles and bracelets. I’m huge on bracelets.
How To: For a similar look, you’ll want to start with some black leggings or a dark ultra-skinny jean. Next, find a top that you’re comfortable in that's thin enough to fit your denim jacket over. Like this Fashionista, don’t be afraid to vary the lengths of your jacket and top—it will only add another facet to your outfit! Finally, step into a pair of hardcore combat boots to give your outfit a grungy edge and finish your look off with a pop of color in your jewelry or a scarf. Take a tip from this Fashionista and invest in a few timeless pieces, but don’t let them be the star of the show. Mix in another bracelet or two to enhance the collection. Also, never fear the middle part! This Fashionista rocks it, and I think almost anyone can with the right confidence.
